Misen Energy AB (publ) subsidiary commissions a third Booster Compressor Station
On 27 June 2014, the Joint Activity (JA) led by LLC Karpatygaz, subsidiary of Misen Energy AB (publ), commissioned a Booster Compressor Station (BCS) at East-Poltava gas and condensate field (GCF) in Poltava Region, Ukraine. This is a third BCS installation in Ukraine constructed within the framework of investment program agreed by JA. The commissioning ceremony was attended among others by Mr. Sergiy Kostiuk, Chairman of the Board of PJSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya and representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine.
East-Poltava BCS features Ariel turbo-compressor units driven by Caterpillar gas turbine supplied by Propak Systems (Canada). Projected BCS capacity of 0.75 MW will allow to stabilize and maintain the necessary operational pressures within the East-Poltava GCF and will provide for additional gas production to JA of 18 million cubic meters (mmcm) annually. The combined capacity of two BCS commissioned in June 2014 is expected to generate an increase of gas production to JA in the range of 7%.
